COMEDY: Rasputin’s Lunchbox presents… Kevin Eldon, The Betsey Trotwood, 11 Oct
Self-effacing ‘It’s Kevin’ star Kevin Eldon is the comedic ‘bread’ holding the sandwich in Rasputin’s Lunchbox in place tonight, whilst Flameproof Moth, Steve Forbes, Gabriel Moreno and Simon Stanley are its filling. Details and tickets here.

COMEDY: London Irish Comedy Festival, London Irish Centre, 11 Oct
With a craic-ing (ha ha ha) line-up to make any eyes smile, be they Irish or otherwise, this year’s three-day gaelic gala features Andrew Maxwell, Abandoman, Jarlath Regan, Grainne Maguire and Barry Murphy. Flying the celtic flag this evening at a first-night special are PJ Gallagher, Neil Delamere, and Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Aisling Bea. Details and tickets here.

FESTIVAL: Arts & Humanities Festival – Being Human, King’s College London, 11-25 Oct (pictured)
King’s researchers, artists and scholars gather to ask ‘what it is to be human’, articulating this most unanswerable of Qs through a variety of free-entry performances, lectures, discussions and exhibits. The centrepiece of this evening’s proceedings is KCL composer George Benjamin’s acclaimed contemporary opera ‘Written On Skin’. Details here.

MUSIC: Bright Phoebus Revisited, Barbican Hall, 11 Oct
Jarvis Cocker and Richard Hawley will all pay their respects to ‘Bright Phoebus’, late folk luminaries’ Lal and Mike Waterson’s ‘lost’ LP of 1972, by playing selected tracks live with the Watersons’ relatives. Details and tickets here.
