MUSIC: Repeater Festival, Shacklewell Arms, 14-16 Mar
So good that it’s set to take place bi-monthly, the Shacklewell’s new mini-fest features the cream of the DIY scene, not least Portland garage band White Fang, electro collective Patterns, melancholic pop act Fear Of Men, and the uber-prolific Keel Her, all playing live. All that plus a zine, vinyl and tape fair, craft ales and on-trend refreshments. Details and tickets here.
THEATRE: Glasshouse, Battersea Arts Centre, – 15 Mar
Equipped with a script by ‘it’ girl poet Kate Tempest, ‘Glasshouse’ is built on three interrelated tales, all of same fragile British family. It’s a ‘forum theatre’ piece, which means the audience is given a say in how the story ends. Details and tickets here.
THEATRE: Grimm Tales, Shoreditch Town Hall, 14 Mar – 24 Apr (pictured)
Philip Pullman’s ‘Grimm Tales For Old And Young’ are brought to life in this promenade adaptation, in which Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel and their ilk will spring up in Shoreditch Town Hall’s many underground nooks and crannies. Details and tickets here.
