Let The Right One In

TODAY IN LONDON the biggest beanstalk, the littlest vampire, and minimalist loop artiste The Field feature in the following TW-recommended events…

MUSIC: Nocturnal feat The Field/ADULT./Lapalux, Oval Space, 29 Nov
Axel Willner places his loop-heavy, filler-light new LP as The Field, ‘Cupid’s Head’, on a platter for LDN-based fans to feast on for the first time, headlining a one-off Nocturnal night also featuring textural DJ Lapalux and Detroit dance instructors ADULT. Full stop. Details and tickets here.

THEATRE: Jack Off The Beanstalk, Above The Stag Theatre, 29 Nov – 5 Jan 2014
A la its title, this LGBT-leaning cert 18 pantomime, which sits astride fringe mecca Above The Stage, is strictly not for kids, but rather lovers of giant phallic legumes. Details and tickets here. Details and tickets here.

THEATRE: Let The Right One In, Royal Court Theatre, 29 Nov – 21 Dec (pictured)
The Royal Court’s anti-Christmas installation, laid on by the National Theatre Of Scotland, is this spiny adaptation of the acclaimed Swedish (and now, Hollywood) film-story of a little girl vampire’s oddly warming relationship with a mortal boy. FYI teen theatre fans: see it quick pre its flit to the West End. Details and tickets here.
