By TW Editorial | Published on Tuesday 7 April 2015
And today’s ThisWeek-tipped, LDN-based events are…
COMEDY: Yacine Belhousse – Made In France (In English!) | Soho Theatre | 13 Apr (pictured)
Following on from a successful run at the Edinburgh Festival last year – which he discussed in this ThreeWeeks interview – French stand-up Yacine Belhousse comes to London with his first all-English show. Head down to find out why Eddie Izzard described him as “one funny Mother-fudge-cake”. Details and tickets here.
MUSIC: Tape | XOYO | 13 Apr
XOYO’s weekly clubnight Tape brings a eclectic mix of house, bass, garage, hip hop and trap over two rooms. The perfect start to the week, I’d say. Who needs sleep? Details and tickets here.
THEATRE: The Bombing Of The Grand Hotel | The Cockpit | 13 Apr – 2 May
Based on the 1984 bombing of The Grand Hotel in Brighton, in an attempt to assassinate then Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, this play tells the story of the unlikely relationship between Pat Magee, who planted the bomb, and Jo Berry, whose father was killed in the blast. Details and tickets here.
