Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip

TODAY IN LONDON, TW’s tipped events feature sktech screwballs The Pin, a French theatrical love triangle, and the Duracel bunnies of glitchy rap-tronica, Dan Le Sac vs Scroobious Pip…

COMEDY: The Pin’s Terrific Comedy Night, Bar Kick, 3 Feb
Piercingly terrific sketch men The Pin tack on a night of extra treats to their central headlining set at Bar Kick, namely appearances by character comedian Kieran Hodgson, Fringe fresher Ellie White, star-of-‘Friday Night Dinner’ Tom Rosenthal, and “witty and clever” Foster’s nominee Mike Wozniak. Details and tickets here.

MUSIC: Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip, Koko, 3 Feb (pictured)
Taking their latest LP ‘Repent, Replenish, Repeat’ as a tipping point, digi-rap beatsmith Dan Le Sac and cerebral MC Scroobius Pip give new hits a first spin, while also going back over old ones like the ultimate list song ‘Thou Shalt Always Kill’. Details and tickets here.

THEATRE: The Venus And The Hog, Institut Français, 3-5 Feb
Actress Alexandra Lamy’s ‘une-femme’ picture of turn-of-the-centry ‘queen’ of Paris, musician muse and society butterfly Misia Godeska, finds her assuming the roles, not only of Godeska herself, but also of her husband Thadée Natanson and leery financier admirer Alfred Edwards. This ‘cruel and mocking’ script by Christian Siméon is performed in French, with English surtitles, as part of the Insitute Francais’ new season of ‘En Scene’ theatre. Details and tickets here.
