Kubrick’s trippy sci-fi epic is lent extra gravitas by The Philharmonia Orchestra and Philharmonia Voices, who’ll respectively play and sing its colossal score as the film is shown live. Details and tickets here.

THEATRE: The Big Idea – Greed, Royal Court Theatre, 7-12 Oct
The Royal Court’s all-inclusive Open Court initiative continues with this ‘greed’-themed ‘Big Idea’ debate, which coincides with Dennis Kelly’s avaricious new play ‘The Ritual Slaughter Of George Mastromas’. As well as the central seminar, led by philosopher AC Grayling, neuroscientist Professor Kate Jeffery and chair Anne McElvoy, the event will feature fun n games in the shape of ‘A Game Show Of Theft And Deception’, in which audience members do battle in a war of lies and acquisition.
