Given her excellent, Ted Hughes Award-winning ‘Brand New Ancients’ is on at the Royal Court at the same time as her first script, ‘Wasted’, plays out at the Roundhouse, London is decidedly in the eye of the Kate Tempest storm. ‘Wasted’ trails a trio of friends on day glo trip through the parks and raves and cafes of South London, where life is what you make it. Details and tickets here.

THEATRE: Knitting Pattern, Walthamstow Library, 16 Nov
Giving the ‘knitting renaissance’ an extra lift, a team of six international mixed-media artists stitch together this ‘short unusual play’, a yarn of fate, destiny and the rhythms and motions of life with added music, dance, a cast-on mantra and a battle with giant knitting needles.
