All for Australia Day, the Clapham Grand calls on a holy trinity of bonza comics – one-time Australian Comedian Of The Year Colin Cole, Tim Minchin’s BFF, the “charming, disarming and proper fucking funny” Benny Boot, and Melbournian “knucklehead”, the truly clever and funny Felicity Ward. FESTIVAL: UnLondon, St Mary’s Old Church, 25 Jan
Scratching London’s gilded streets to reveal an Un-derbelly of, well, reality, this year’s UnLondon celebrates and peers into the lives and times of the city’s ‘ordinary’ denizens, with insight from writer Bernard Kops, author Travis Elborough, anthropologist of the ‘working classes’ Ken Worpole, and Des De Moor, the taste-maker behind the ‘CAMRA Guide To London’s Best Beer’. A soundtrack of London songs, known and unknown, plus short films, cold ales, and hot snacks, are also on tap. Details and tickets here.
