Character comedian Katie O’Brien’s clown-time alias, cruise-ship entertainer SuZanna Gonzo, acts the ‘Dark Lady’ (also the title of her spiritual and slightly sinister solo show) at tonight’s freaky Bethnal Green pageant, which features special experimental sets by her Friends, Nick Helm and The Grandees. Going down at London’s Oval Space on 26 Apr, this year’s Gemma Cairney-hosted drive will feature a bank of one-of-a-kind bits of sparkly designer apparel and pop memorabilia, and brand new items from big high-street brands for knock-down prices. Details here.
THEATRE: Safe House, Young Vic, 26 Apr – 17 May
Take some time out to take in ‘Safe House’, a super-six–sensory encounter with stories of quiet triumphs and crushing loss, the latest installation by multi-media artists Jeremy Herbert and Gabriella Sonabend. Details and tickets here.
