Colombian circus company Circolombia were last seen at the Roundhouse in 2011 with their acclaimed show ‘Urban’. Now they’re back with the first UK staging of their latest production, ‘Acelere’, which is inspired by Colombia’s diverse communities and features twelve of the country’s most talented circus performers. Back at the Udderbelly festival on the Southbank for a sixth year, The Showstoppers take improvised comedy to new heights, creating a brand new music from scratch every night, based on audience suggestions. OPERA: The Zoo & Trial By Jury | King’s Head Theatre | 19 Apr – 10 May
The first of four Sundays given over to the Charles Court Opera for this double bill. Bolton Rowe and Sullivan’s ‘The Zoo’ is a one act comedy set in London Zoo, while ‘Trial By Jury’ is Gilbert and Sullivan’s parody of the British judicial system. Details and tickets here.
