COMEDY: Max Dickins – My Groupon Adventure, Etcetera Theatre, 23 Feb
Max Dickins – a “comedian with bags of potential”, think ThreeWeeks – retells this ‘digital-age escapade’ he had on Groupon, buying odd bits n bobs off the site and just ‘going with the flow’ of silly impulse shit on offer. Details and tickets here.
THEATRE: The Final Revelation Of Sherlock Holmes, Pleasance Theatre, – 2 Mar (pictured)
Fringe First winning writer Tim Norton pictures Sherlock Holmes in the autumn of his life, ie if Arthur Conan Doyle hadn’t killed the sleuth off in 1893. Older and worn down from his drug use and cases to solve, Sherlock turns to Watson one final time in a last-ditch bid to crack the ultimate crime. Details and tickets here.
THEATRE: Click, Camden People’s Theatre, 23 Feb
Last chance to catch sight of this pitch black dram-com, which is ‘about happiness’ in all its many forms, from writing duo Kate Kennedy and Sarah Joyce. Having grafted hard all his life, a man (Harry) dies, leaving his daughter and mistress (who meet for the first time at the funeral) to fight over the deeds to his flat. Details and tickets here.
