COMEDY: Weirdos Comedy presents… Blueprint feat Robin & Partridge/Depresstival, The Lion (Stoke Newington), 30 Mar
Adam Larter and his wildcard pack of Weirdos’ main schtick is ‘experimentation’, and tonight they’ll be plying new ideas in the fields of technology, stories, music and, primarily, moustaches with extra-weird trimmings dished up by ‘cray cray’ comedians Robin & Partridge, and maudlin anti-folk artiste Depresstival. Playwright Pamela Carter drafts this split-narrative about war, trauma, and what it is to be alive, which in in part follows four young British soldiers in the aftermath of a bomb-blast in Afghanistan, and partly the story of a couple worried over their son’s imaginary friend, and their own failing marriage.
