TW’s tipped events TODAY IN LONDON feature Ellie Goulding, Grayson Perry and Spanish playwright Paloma Pedrero…
MUSIC: Ellie Goulding, The O2, 9 Mar
Last seen banging on a snare at this year’s BRITs, tingly-voiced pop sprite Ellie Golding basks in the afterglow of her 2013 smash-hit LP ‘Halcyon Days’ with a special night at The O2. Details and tickets here.
SPOKEN WORD: Grayson Perry – Men: Sit Down For Your Rights!, Royal Festival Hall, 9 Mar
Art can be a real drag, except when transvestite ceramics man Grayson Perry’s in town. Which he is this evening, when at 7pm he’ll reprise his celebrated speech on ‘all-things MAN’, picking apart issues of equality, male machismo and the ‘male gaze’. He’ll also pitch a Bill Of Rights For Men, and follow the whole thing with an afterword on what his plans will mean for women, and for the man/woman race at large. Details and tickets here.
Spanish playwright Paloma Pedrero’s ‘Wolf Kisses’, the tale of a young cloistered young woman waiting for her faraway lover in a rural town, is translated for its first British outing, with a live score to boot. Details and tickets here.
