And today’s ThisWeek-tipped, LDN-based events are…

Richard Herring – Lord Of The Dance Settee | Leicester Square Theatre | 11 Sep
As you may well recall, Richard Herring came up with a spectacular wheeze to encourage ThisWeek London feature him in our Threes To Sees on a weekly basis for a sustained period, when he decided to perform his entire back catalogue of shows at intervals throughout the summer, and autumn, I suppose (time may be getting on, but I’m still holding out for lots of lovely mellow sunshine in September). Info and ticketry here.

Emma 200 | Brunswick Square | 10-13 Sep
If you are a fan of Jane Austen (and I know a great many people who are), you might want to nip along to this mini-fest of Austenalia (if that isn’t a word, I just made it up, and it’s mine) celebrating the 200 year anniversary of the publication of ‘Emma’. It features talks, concerts, guided walks, a film screening, and even a Georgian Country Dance… find lots more info about what’s going on here.

Ayanna Witter Johnson | King’s Place | 11 Sep (pictured)
The major talent that is Ayanna Witter Johnson is on the bill as part of the King’s Place Festival at, er, King’s Place. For those who don’t know, she already has a MOBO nomination under her belt and she hasn’t even released her debut album yet. A classically trained cellist, singer, and composer, she has worked with the likes of sitarist Anoushka Shankar and the Kronos Quartet. She’ll be showcasing tracks from that aforementioned debut album. More info about the show here, and help her get her album out here.
