And today’s ThisWeek-tipped, LDN-based events are…

Onegin and Tatiana | Arcola Theatre | 13-14 Aug
“When the man of her dreams arrives suddenly in her life, Tatiana is overwhelmed by a cascade of new feelings and her world is turned upside down. But is the man she sees real, or is he only an image she has dreamed up?” The great line up of shows on as part of Arcola’s Grimeborn fest continues, and here’s another I would love to see. Head this way for all the information.

On Mother’s Day | The Cockpit | 13-16 Aug (pictured)
This is today’s tip from all the many events going on at Camden Fringe. You can’t have failed to have noticed it’s going on, but I can’t recommend everything from it, I don’t have space. But I urge you to check out all the listings of all the shows, as well as the info for this one. This tells the story of Ramon – “an endearing and friendly inmate, who spends his life running from violence only to find it within himself”, and offers a critique of the dehumanising effects of the capital punishment system.

Spiral | The Park Theatre | 7 Aug-1 Sep
“London. 2018. A bedsit. A young woman in trouble. A bridge. A missing teenager – and parents searching for answers. Struggling to cope with the disappearance of his teenage daughter, secondary school teacher Tom decides to book an escort in an attempt to numb his pain. Little does he realise the impact this will have on both their lives and the lives of those closest to them.” An exploration of dysfunctional physical and emotional relationships, see this page here for more.
