And today’s ThisWeek-tipped, LDN-based events are…

Screwed | Theatre503 | 28 Jun- 23 Jul
This debut drama from Kathryn O’Reilly promises a show which is both gripping and hilarious, whilst dealing with some fairly heavy themes. The play depicts the dysfunctional friendship between Luce and Charlene, a pair of boozy soul mates, and sees them preparing for a new working day in a rather unconventional fashion (caffeine pills and more alcohol) after another binge-drinking night out. Have a look at the venue website here for more info.

Force Of Trump | The Space | 28 Jun-2 Jul
There’s an awful lot of politicking going on at the moment, isn’t there? At home, and abroad. And while the EU referendum is evidently occupying some folks’ every waking thought, I think a great many are almost as transfixed by what’s going on across the pond. This show imagines a near future where Donald Trump has become president, and is attempting to make an ill-fated first state visit to the UK. Expect a rather bitter farce about a very scary possibility. See this page here for all the details.

Katia Kvinge – Squirrel | The Wenlock & Essex | 28 Jun
I know you have all been anxiously awaiting news of more Edinburgh Fringe previews, and so, without further ado, here is one that you can see on 28 June. Award nominated character comedian Katia Kvinge performs her latest piece ‘Squirrel’ (sorry, no idea why it’s called that), which heads north for a three week run in August. She’s fab at improvising and a whiz at voices, and she’s been on TV, and everything. You can book tickets via this link here.
