And today’s ThisWeek-tipped, LDN-based events are…

Kid Carpet and The Noisy Neighbours | Arts Depot | 4 Oct
If you have never been exposed to the delights of one of punk-folk-disco purveyor Kid Carpet’s children’s shows, then you have really, really missed out. Time to rectify the situation, and be popular with your kids. Or, if you have no kids, borrow some, and make yourself popular with them. And believe me, you won’t be sitting there wishing it could be over, as is sometimes the case with children’s shows. Kid Carpet’s contemporary music based theatre shows are brilliantly entertaining for all. More info from just about right here.

Eleanor Morton: Allotted Mucking About Time | Museum Of Comedy | 4 Oct
Eleanor Morton’s won a lot of fans at TW towers over the last few years, and I can prove this by linking to this page here, where you will see just a a small amount of the evidence. She’s a very funny, very talented comedian, and I heartily recommend you go and see this particular show, which our reviewer described as a “wonderfully whimsical experience”. More info and tickets here.

Barbarians | Former Central St Martin’s School Of Art | 29 Sep-7 Nov
This sounds like it will be a great site-specific revival of Barrie Keeffe’s 1977 piece set against the contemporary backdrop of the queen’s silver jubilee, youth employment, and the anarchic, punky sensibilities of that era. See this page here for all the info and tickets.
