And today’s ThisWeek-tipped, LDN-based events are…

Ali Brice – Eric Meat Has No Proof, Only Memories Of Pasta | Aces and Eights | 5 Oct (pictured)
Coming up, Aces and Eights have a run of shows forming a ‘Best Of Edinburgh’ strand, and here’s one I think you’ll like: a character set from the talented Ali Brice, who revives Eric Meat for a second bizarre and chaotic outing. If you fancy spending your whole evening at the venue, I can also recommend the other Edinburgh export playing tonight, Twins’ ‘Pret A Comedy’. And they are both available to view for only a fiver. A bargain evening of entertainment. See this page here for ‘Eric Meat’, and this page here for all the listings.

BalletBoyz – Young Men | Sadler’s Wells | 5-10 Oct
The company known as BalletBoyz bring their sell-out show ‘Young Men’ back to Sadler’s Wells, following its successful premiere there in January. It’s a poignant piece blending together dance with other media, focusing on love, friendship and loss, against the backdrop of war and conflict. Go to this page here for more info and tickets.

Comedy Couplets | Royal Festival Hall | 5 Oct
This is part of the line up of Southbank Centre’s London Literature Festival (for more events see this page here) and it sounds great. Partly because it’s poetry with a comic twist, which is always fun, and partly because a few of my favourites, Mark Watson, Tim Key and Sara Pascoe, are involved. See the venue website here for more info and to book.
