And today’s ThisWeek-tipped, LDN-based events are…

Chilly Gonzales and Kaiser Quartett | Royal Festival Hall | 7 Nov
That most excellent Canadian-resident-in-Europe Chilly Gonzales heads London-wards for a date on the South Bank accompanied by Hamburg’s Kaiser Quartett. He’ll be performing material from latest album ‘Chambers’, released earlier this year, in which he re-imagines romantic period chamber music as contemporary pop. Sounds interesting, huh? Well, hurry up and get your tickets because there’s only a limited number of tickets left. If you can’t get one, get that album instead. See here for info.

Al Cubo | The Albany | 7-8 Nov (pictured)
Slapstick, skill, wit, enthusiasm and a large number of white buckets form the basis for this energetic and entertaining celebration of mayhem, brought to you by award winning French/Italian trio BettiCombo. Very promising. Plus, the fact that they’re selling family tickets makes me think this is something you could very well take your older kids along to. Which is grand, as it’s Saturday. More info right about here.

The Snow Dragon | Canada Water Culture Space | 7 Nov
One more squarely aimed at kids now, from Tall Stories, a company renowned for the quality of their children’s entertainment. Featuring songs, laughs, hungry wolves and an adventure through the woods, the play tells the tale of a spoiled little goat who is looking forward to the visit of the legendary Snow Dragon. More info and tickets from this page here.
