COMEDY: Dave Griffiths – C U In Court/John Williams – My Son’s Not Rainman, Bread & Roses, 14 Nov
The Bread & Roses-based Clapham Comedy Club houses a double-bill of thought-provoking comedy c/o Dave Griffiths and John Williams. Griffiths, otherwise known as King Cnut, recollects his ‘David v Goliath’-seque court dispute with French Connection over copyright issues; whilst Williams’ light yet heartfelt ‘My Son’s Not Rainman’ details his relationship with his autistic son. COMEDY: Edward Aczel Lives In A Meaningless Shed, Soho Theatre, 12-16 Nov
‘Anti-comedian’ Edward Aczel has a mind to quit showbiz, instead envisaging a quiet life doing… well, something else. ‘Meaningless Shed’ is built on his quest to find significance in a useless universe. Details and tickets here.

SPOKEN WORD: Brand New Ancients, Royal Court Theatre, 14-16 Nov

THEATRE: Scenes From A Marriage, Barbican Centre, 14-17 Nov (pictured)
Dutch group Toneelgroep Amsterdam turn Ingmar Bergman’s 1973 film study of a couple’s troubled  union into a sequence of simultaneous set-pieces, in which the couple, Johan and Marianne, are portrayed a different stages of their marriage. The dialogue is in Dutch, but with English surtitles. Details and tickets here.
