DANCE: The Measures Taken | Linbury Studio Theatre (Royal Opera House) | 15-16 May (pictured)
Rambert and Random Dance star Alexander Whitley, whose focus is now more on choreography, creates a mixed bill featuring ‘The Measures Taken’, a piece in which a cast of five penetrate the interplay between light and air, and an intense and elegiac pas de deux titled after Marx’s ‘All That Is Solid Melts Into Air’. Details and tickets here.
THEATRE: Alice | V&A | 15-18 May
Young Vic associate dramatist Poppy Burton-Morgan’s puppet adaptation of ‘Alice In Wonderland’ moves Carroll’s hallucinatory fairy story forward to 1915, making Alice a mother with a son fighting in WW1.
