And today’s ThisWeek-tipped, LDN-based events are…

COMEDY: Liam Williams – Work In Progress | The Invisible Dot | 2 Jul (pictured)
Liam Williams appears at The Invisible Dot tonight to work through some new material, which is an exciting prospect because, as you’ll hopefully already know, he’s already got a lot of very good material written. He’s good at it, you see? And that’s why you should go to this. Details and tickets here.

EVENT: RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show | Hampton Court Palace | 30 Jun – 5 Jul
Do you like flowers? Who doesn’t like flowers? Actually, thinking about it, I can think of several people who have told me they don’t really like flowers. Oh well, they won’t be at the Royal Horticultural Society’s annual show, which means there’ll be more room for you, the noted flower fancier who has bothered to read this far. Details and tickets here.

THEATRE: Orson’s Shadow | Southwark Playhouse | 1-25 Jul
Based on true events and set in 1960, Orson Welles has agreed to direct Laurence Olivier and Joan Plowright in a production of Eugène Ionesco’s ‘Rhinoceros’ at the Royal Court Theatre. But with Olivier’s eccentric wife Vivien Leigh added to the volatile mix, legendary egos collide both on stage and off. Details and tickets here.
