Following a preview screening of Jim Jarmusch’s new film – a kind of rock/horrorcore love story starring Tilda Swinton and Tom Hiddleston – Jarmusch himself brings his band SQÜRL along with White Hills, Jozef Van Wissem and Yasmine Hamdan, all contributors to the new movie’s soundtrack, to play parts of the score live during a one-off show at Heaven. MUSIC: Blow The Bloody Doors Off!, Barbican, 6 Feb
Host Phill Jupitus, top MD Terry Edwards and a crack mob of musicians, singers and players from all corners of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Madness and Polar Bear play a live soundtrack to clips from four of Michael Caine’s most iconic films, tipping teir caps en masse to Sonny Rollins’ score to ‘Alfie’, John Barry’s ‘The Ipcress File’, Quincy Jones’ ‘The Italian Job’ and Roy Budd’s ‘Get Carter’.
