By TW Editorial | Published on Tuesday 16 April 2013
London’s cultural structure is such a complicated coil of goings-on (especially today, because it is international DNA Day and all), so to make finding a comic or music-based attraction easier, we’ve made this shortlist.
And here we go…
TODAY’S COMEDY CHOICES
Milton Jones – On The Road, Hammersmith Apollo, 19 Apr (pictured)
Radio 4 staple Milton’s racy new show has had its MOT and is really motoring, and so he’s taking his mad brand of comic repartee for a spin tonight at the Hammersmith-based Apollo. Details and tickets here.
TODAY’S MUSIC CHOICES
Il Divo/Katherine Jenkins, The O2, 19 Apr
Ah, what a Friday night delight. It’s been classically proclaimed that Welsh soprano Katherine Jenkins ans mahogany popera quartet Il Divo will be sharing a live spotlight tonight at the O2 Arena. Details and tickets here.
Sun Araw/Deep Magic/Vision Fortune/Bass Clef, Corsica Studios, 19 Apr
If the above KJ/Il Divo show isn’t quite to your musical taste, promotions co Upset The Rhythm is laying on another option in the shape of Sun Araw, “low-end psychedelia, melted afrobeat and warped dub” artiste. Joining Mr Araw (nee Cameron Stallones) are minimal LA twiddler Deep Magic, Faux Discx-signed bros Vision Fortune, and “deeply modular” DJ Bass Clef. Details and tickets here.
