So, it’s first day back at work after the Sunday that was. Start your Monday off right, and choose one of our top LDN cultural routes…

TODAY’S COMEDY CHOICES

Funny Women Awards 2013 Final, Leicester Square Theatre, 23 Sep
Thirteen lady finalists duke it out, joke-wise, to see which of them is worthy of tonight’s prestigious title. Without showing favouritism, self-styled ‘Pervert’ Elf Lyons, clowning duo Twisted Loaf and Sketchfest finalists Revan And Fennell are all in with a chance. Details and tickets here.

Jen Kirkman, Soho Theatre, 23-28 Sep
Pragmatic LA broad Jen Kirkman swaps Hollywood and a spot on chat show ‘Chelsea Lately’ for Soho, talking divorce, inconsiderate married friends, and why she’s fine with not having children. Details and tickets here.

TODAY’S FILM CHOICES

Quadrophenia + Q&A, Institut Francais, 23 Sep
Mods, rockers, scooters, motors, a pimply Phil Daniels, it can only be ‘Quadrophenia’. First shown in 1979 and with an iconic OST by The Who to (Chelsea) boot, its cast and creatives today look back on the film’s legacy, and what it was like to make it in the first place. Whilst Phil wasn’t available tonight, director Franc Roddam, producer Bill Curbishley, writer Martin Stellman, editor Sean Barton, and actors Toyah Wilcox, Philip Davis and Mark Wingett are all on hand to chat. Details and tickets here.

TODAY’S THEATRE CHOICES

Prince Of Denmark, Ambassadors Theatre, 23 Sep – 25 Nov (pictured)
Given ‘Hamlet’ has been done to near-death lately, this revival of Michael Lesslie’s imagined prequel, acted by a National Youth Theatre rep cast of 18-25s, seems like it’ll be a breath of fresh, if angsty, air. And, potentially, Lynx Africa. Details and tickets here.
