The Wilmington plays host to the third heat of WeGotTickets’ fifth ever Musical Comedy Awards. Acoustic trio Fair & Square headline an evening of dance, drama, music and laughs, competing against PG puppet-masters the Scottish Falsetto Sock Puppet Theatre, witty lyricist Jo Stephenson and Regina Spektor-esque singer Emily Rose. A Comic Darkly: Art And Humour, October Gallery, 19 Jan
The October Gallery presents an all-day complement to its William S Burroughs exhibition, mining the strange relationship between art and laughter via a rolling programme of workshops, a vintage vinyl DJ set, and talks by guest speakers like ultra-trim sketchists Lady Garden, comedienne Lou Sanders and event compere, artist/comic Leigh Clarke.
