Granted this isn’t an especially original recommendation, but the Piccadilly Circus Comedy Store’s classic Sunday roast is all but guaranteed to be good. London Film Festival – In Limbo, Hackney Picturehouse, 14 Oct (pictured)
LSFF Director Philip Ilson curates a number of shorts to slot, festival-within-a-festival-style, into this year’s London Film Fest programme at large. Chosen for its collective theme, that of of life being ‘on hold’, the six-part series features Czech director Jakub Šmíd’s ‘Non Swimmers’, French soccer film ‘Bad Gones’ (pictured), and Laura Smith’s ‘The Outback Motel’. All movies together clock in at a time-saving 107 minutes, so if you’re a cineaste pushed for time, this is the perfect window into what’s going on at the LFF. Tickets here.
