Today in London: Sunday 7 April 2013
By TW Editorial | Published on Sunday 31 March 2013
Cast aside yon bleach, polish and assorted cleaning cloths, London scrubbers, because it’s officially No Housework Day.
Yes, that’s right, leave the tidying ’til whenever and instead take a gander at the following squeaky-clean cultural sparklers…
TODAY’S COMEDY CHOICES
Wimbledon Comedy Club presents… John Robins/Julian Deane, Bertie’s Bar, 7 Apr (pictured)
Aside from once sharing a flat with Russell Howard, five-star Fringe favourite John Robins’ claim to fame is that he’s a laugh-out-loud comic natural with lots of LOLs to give. As, in fact, are the other acts taking to the WCC bandstand tonight; political satirist Chris Coltrane, part-time geography teacher Mark Cooper-Jones, award-winning Julian Deane and surreal Phil Higgins. Details and tickets here.
Lethal Weapon 2 (with live commentary), The Paradise, Kensal Green, 7 Apr
Above-average lads Carl Donnelly and his non-Coldplay-affiliated co-commentator Chris Martin host (and talk wittily over) an all-action ‘Lethal Weapon 2’ screening party. All profits will go to Homeless FA, a charity promoting football as a means to transform lives. Details and tickets here.
