Jingle All The Way

It’s Brownie Day today, which is to say it’s a day to celebrate the chocolate and occasionally-based cake (not the younger Girl Guide). So – erm, well – why not have this taster plate of London’s current cultural crumbs?

TODAY’S COMEDY CHOICES

Weirdos Comedy Club – The Weirdos Steal Christmas, Leicester Square Theatre, 9 Dec
Grinch-like Christmas saboteurs carrying off the Weirdos brand tonight; deserved Edinburgh Fringe nominee Ben Target, stony-faced satirist Mark Stephenson, club favourite John Kearns, surrealist Matt Highton, and ‘Potty Time’ provocateur Nick Sun.Tickets via the LST site.

Jingle All The Way (with live commentary), The Paradise, Kensal Green, 9 Dec (pictured)
Above-average lads and avid fans of Austria’s most muscular actor/politician, Chris Martin and Carl Donnelly enhance Arnie’s festive shopping caper with added live narration. All profits go to city charity Kids Company, so invest in tickets here.

TODAY’S THEATRE CHOICES

The Twenty Four Hour Musicals Celebrity Gala, Old Vic, 9 Dec
Old Vic AD Kevin Spacey and little Briton Matt Lucas host a one-off variant of the theatre’s ’24 Hour Plays’ franchise, as will feature celebs like Jeff Goldblum, Anthony Head, Nigel Planer, Meera Syal, Richard Fleeshman and Luke Treadaway improvising four musical premieres.
