So it’s very nearly Friday, and what better way to ease into the weekend than via a leisurely list of London’s main arts events? A list like this one, for instance…

TODAY’S COMEDY CHOICES

Ronna & Beverly, Soho Theatre, 13-14 Jun

TODAY’S MUSIC CHOICES

JJ Doom, Fabric, 13 Jun (pictured)
Newsflash: JJ Doom, the bi-headed rap beast that is DOOM and Jneiro Jarel, are playing a special, rare, intimate show at London’s Fabric  this very night. The pair’s collaborative LP ‘Key To The Kuffs’, which is really at the heart of this ‘playing live in London’ flimflam, is still available in shops following its release all the way back in 2012. Details and tickets here.

TODAY’S THEATRE CHOICES

The Night Alive, Donmar Warehouse, 13 Jun – 27 Jul
A replay of Conor McPherson’s 1991 script ‘The Weir’ was a big (and highly-praised) deal when it ran at the Donmar and so, only days after that wrapped, his new drama ‘The Night Alive’ is as apt as anything to follow it. It stars Irish acting ace Ciaran Hinds as Tom, a drab single dad whose main motive is to make cash, fast. That is, til he meets Aimee. Details and tickets here.
