By TW Editorial | Published on Thursday 30 May 2013
Like culture and ‘the arts’? Searching for ways to enhance this reasonably pleasant June Thursday in London? If that’s the case, might I share a cordial TW invitation to like and search amid these beauties…
TODAY’S COMEDY CHOICES
Dan Clark And The Difficult Three, 100 Club, 6 Jun
Comedian Dan Clark, aka the man off ‘How Not To Live Your Life’, baptises his PledgeMusic-enabled rock N roll LP at London’s most sacred Soho dive, the 100 Club. Sample a single off it, ‘Bread And Milk’, at this link. Details and tickets here.
Hal Cruttenden – Tough Luvvie, Udderbelly Southbank, 6 Jun (pictured)
Camp, catty, and above all ‘Luv’-able, actor/comic Hal Cruttenden is one to watch. And I mean that literally – ie he has several TV sitcoms on the way soon. In the meantime, he’s appearing in the flesh neath the UB teat tonight. Details and tickets here.
Jarred Christmas – Let’s Go Mofo, Soho Theatre, 6-8 Jun
Not many comics (nay, humans) can carry off the word ‘Mofo’, but Jarred Christmas can, and will be doing so with ‘arse-kicking’ aplomb as part of this show, which is all about ‘manhood’, gym-trips and erm… nerf guns. Details and tickets here.
TODAY’S THEATRE CHOICES
Bracken Moor, Tricycle Theatre, 6 Jun – 20 Jul
Writer of last year’s hit play ‘Pride’, Alexi Kaye Campbell, is set to reap similar acclaim via her dark new Tricycle featurette, a boldly theatrical parable of family, denial and tragedy. Details and tickets here.
