Cork Street Open, Cork Street Gallery, 8-16 Aug
Tonight the Cork hosts its what’ll be its last ever Open show, as boasts a varied catalogue of over 200 paintings, prints, photos and sculpture by artists established and less so. After tonight’s ticketed private view, which donates all profits to Crisis, the exhibition will be free to enter for its duration. Details and tickets here.

Shuffle, St Clement’s Social Club, 8-18 Aug (pictured)
National cinema treasure Danny Boyle curates a programme of films, both his own (‘Slumdog Millionaire’, ‘Trainspotting’, and a showing if his National Theatre play ‘Frankenstein’) and otherwise (‘The Long Good Friday’, ‘Attacl The Block’, ‘One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest’) at the Mile End-based St Clement’s Social Club, which, FYI, was a Victorian psychiatric hospital in a past life. A bona fide smash (twice over, in fact) at the Young Vic, this twelve-week West End reprisal of Ibsen’s ageless play stars its acclaimed original cast, namely Hattie Morahan as fleeing matriarch Nora Helmer and Dominic Rowan as the husband she leaves behind. Details and tickets here.
Purge, Battersea Arts Centre, 8-9 Aug
Having asked, back in 2011, total strangers to choose which of his Facebook ‘friends’ to keep (and which to delete), Brian Lobel shares his findings… 800 angry/amused/intrigued emails later.
