So, Bloom Gin is having a little PYO Strawberry Party in Covent Garden’s Seven Dials, possibly to get you in the mood for World Gin Day on 15 Jun. Lasting till 13 Jun, it’ll feature artificial birdsong, the scent of fresh grass and, naturally, the strawbs, which are meant to be made into a G&T after picking.
That said, let’s ditch the gin idea momentarily – if only for as long as it takes to pick your own personal cultural favourite from the following…

Freestyling rap act Abandoman and Channel 4 darling Alex Zane take primetime billing at MC extraordinaire Jeff Leach‘s reasonably priced (a snip at £5) closed mic night co-starring Radio 1’s Tom Deacon and Eric Lampaert, who has ‘Two Tickets To The Gum Show’. Details and tickets here.
