Oh dear, it’s Devil’s Night tonight, also known as Mischief or Hell’s Night. So rather than tempt fate, shall we just press on with the culture recommendations?
TODAY’S COMEDY CHOICES
Comedy For A Cure – Shake With Laughter, Bloomsbury Theatre, 30 Oct
Comedy For A Cure calls five comic characters to stand up for a charitable cause – in this case, Parkinson’s UK – as ‘Peep Show’ player Isy Suttie shares stage time with Rob Deering, Elis James, Tiffany Stevenson and Radio 4’s Nathan Caton. £15 tickets, a bargain given the roster, are available here.
Thom Tuck and friends, Queen’s Head Picadilly, 30 Oct (pictured)
Laugh Out London assembles a bargain bill starring solo Penny Dreadful Thom Tuck, ‘HIGNFY’ writer Sarah Campbell, satirist Mark Stephenson, precocious Fringe fave Stuart Laws and northern poet Gary From Leeds. All will be sound-boarding new routines, so it’s all free. Details here.
Weirdos Comedy Club – A Very Spooky Weirdos, The Lion, 2 Britannia Street, 30 Oct
WCC carve a Halloween-shaped niche into their usual ultra-alternative fare, scaring up various ghost stories, myths and ‘mares as part of a free-to-see Tuesday night special. Info via www.weirdoscomedy.com
