This time specifically celebrating female Arab filmmakers, BEV kicks off tonight with ‘When I Saw You’, the evocative new film by Palestine’s first ever features directress Annemarie Jacir, who’ll stay for a Q&A after it’s shown. Other focal points on an international four-day itinerary are Morocco-based Leila Kilani’s Cannes-acclaimed ‘On The Edge’, Safinez Bousbia’s jubilant and inspirational music vid ‘El Gusto’, and Susan Youssef’s closing night love-drama ‘Habibi’.
