Some people just have ‘it’, don’t they? ‘It’ all over the bloody place. There are whole TV shows dedicated to finding people who have ‘it’. And if nothing else, those programmes show just how few people do. I mean, take Holly Walsh. She doesn’t. She never had. A collaboration between Soho Theatre, the Lyric Theatre Belfast and Abbey Theatre Dublin, ‘Death Of A Comedian’ is a new play written by Owen McCafferty exploring the highs and lows of the world of stand-up comedy. Details and tickets here.
THEATRE: DNA | Brockley Jack Theatre | 14-25 Apr
Dennis Kelly’s DNA was first performed by the National Theatre, and is now an established text on the GCSE syllabus. A group of teenagers accidentally kill one of their classmates, and after they decide to cover it up things quickly spiral even further out of control. Details and tickets here.
