As seen giving a bitter-sweet sheen to TV shows like ‘QI’ and ‘8 Out Of 10 Cats’, ‘sidebar of shame’-style pop satirist (and one-time TW interviewee) Katherine Ryan picks apart the perma-tanned, tits-and-teeth realm of glam modelling in her new solo show. Details and tickets here.

This 1922 play by France’s answer to Pinter, writer Jean-Jacques Bernard, is a study in ‘beauty and longing, desire and disappointment’, illustrated by a young man just back from war in Syria, who falls in love with a rural country girl. ‘Martine’ hasn’t been seen in Britain in 25 years, which makes this staging, directed by John Littler, extra special.
