FILM: OS Cinema presents… Spinning Plates, Oval Space, 29 Apr
OvalSpace’s on-site cinema hosts a one-time showing of director Joseph Levy’s 2012 doc, a “foodie phantasmagoria” (said The LA Times) that balances three real-life narratives set inside three eateries; a high-end Chicago chef aiming to win a revered prize, a century-old restaurant in Iowa, and a brand new Mexican beanery that’s in peril.
