TODAY IN LONDON multi-disciplinary dramatists The Unhidden Collective (try saying that three times, fast), sketch nerds Sad Faces and Jessie Cave, a whole lot of Mozard (and no fireworks, thank you very much) feature in the following TW-recommended events…
COMEDY: Stop Trying To Make Sketch Happen, Canal Cafe Theatre, 5 Nov
Lifting its name from a line in ‘Mean Girls’, this utterly ‘fetch’ new sketch fest is MC’d by “excellent” skitniks Sad Faces, and stars ThreeWeeks-beloved trio Rory & Tim, short-sighted ‘Bookworm’ Jessie Cave and uproarious duo Surname & Surname. Details and tickets here.
MUSIC: A Night Under The Stars – The Mozart Experience, Royal Festival Hall, 5 Nov
The Orion Orchestra and conductor Toby Pursor pay homage to WA Mozart in aid of The Passage charity, playing this gala programme – featuring Moz’s ‘The Marriage Of Figaro’, ‘Clarinet Concerto’ and ‘Birdcatcher’s Song’ from ‘The Magic Flute – in the presence of Princess Michael Of Kent. Details and tickets here.
THEATRE: Finding Frank, The Yard Theatre, 5-9 Nov (pictured)
First seen during a sell-out run earlier this year, The Unhidden Collective’s multidisciplinary show uses film, live music and true testimonies to tell the story of a friendship between a young care worker and an elderly man with extreme anxiety issues. Details and tickets here.
