COMEDY: Richard Herring – We’re All Going To Die, Leicester Square Theatre, 8-13 Oct
Back from the far-side of stand-up with a fatalistic tirade against life’s great inevitability, Herring’s heavy-themed death-rant still has a levity to it that leaves its audience (said this ThreeWeeks reviewer) “headed to the pearly gates with a smile on their face”. Details and tickets here.

The Beeb’s new first lady Claire Balding quizzes ‘Ab Fab’ star Saunders on her ‘Bonkers’ new book, which hones in on her childhood and life-changing TV liaison with Dawn French, and probably skirts her part in writing ‘Viva Forever’. Details and tickets here.
THEATRE: The Act, Ovalhouse, 8-26 Oct
Back for a longer haul following its short stay at the Ovalhouse back in January, Thomas Hescott and Matthew Baldwin’s ‘The Act’ is a cabaret-style pageant based on anecdotes and verbatim Westminister speeches, all dating back to the 1967 decriminalisation of gay sex. Details and tickets here.
