DANCE: Kings Of The Dance, London Coliseum, 19 – 22 Mar
Sergei Danilian presents an ensemble cast of male ballet stars dancing a mixed seven-piece bill. Teatro alla Scala’s Roberto Bolle and American Ballet Theatre primo Ivan Vasiliev collaborate with Bolshoi ballerina Svetlana Lunkina, whilst the Mikhailovsky Ballet’s Leonid Sarafanov and friends show off their line and strength in choreographer Nacho Duato’s awe-inspiring ‘Remanso’. THEATRE: A Study In Scarlet, Southwark Playhouse, 19 Mar – 12 Apr
Applying extra-savvy heat to the nation’s abiding Sherlock-fever, writing partnership Lila Whelan and Greg Freeman adapt Holmes and Watson’s first case for the stage. Trevor Nunn lays his golden touch on Noël Coward’s light and frivolous sitting-room satire, an uproarious culture clash of stiff-lipped aristocracy vs Hollywood glitterati.
