And today’s ThisWeek-tipped, LDN-based events are…
COMEDY: The Scary Halloween Show w/ Sara Pascoe + Beard | The Invisible Dot | 31 Oct
A Hallows’ Eve splattered with gross jokes and harrowing join-in games (with horrible horrible prizes for the doomed winers), the last of the Invisible Dot’s Scary Halloween Shows for this year stars superlative quick-wit and character actress Sara Pascoe, “extremely talented” friends Rosa Robson and Matilda Wnek’s hairy sketch act Beard, plus the equally brill (and evil, deranged, etc) Ali Bryce and Beth Vyse. Details and tickets here.
FILM/MUSIC: Frizzi 2 Fulci | Barbican | 31 Oct (pictured)
A classic Halloween alternative to tacky vampire fangs and ‘sexy’ skeleton onesies, the Barbican’s chill-tastic homage to master-movie-soundtrackist Fabio Frizzi and his blood brother in film, Italian director and ‘Godfather Of Gore’ Lucio Fulci, with a night of screenings of the pair’s greatest collaborative horror hits, not least ‘Zombie Flesh Eaters’, ‘Seven Notes In Black’ and ‘Manhattan Baby’. Live scores to all movies are provided by the F2F house orchestra, Alauda String Quartet and various vocalists. Details and tickets here.
MUSIC: Evian Christ Trance Party III | Corsica Studios | 31 Oct
Wavey beatsmith-to-Kanye, Evian Christ, re-teams with promotions firm Oscillate Wildly to present his third in a series of Trance Party nights, this scarily strong-looking one featuring Christ B2B with Mssingno, as well as Total Freedom, Nguzunguzu, Boothroyd, Danny L Harle, and probably a smoke machine. Details and tickets here.
