OPERA: Turandot, Royal Opera House, 17 Feb – 10 Mar
Andrei Serban stages this vivid production of Puccini’s last work ‘Turandot’ (aka the one with  ‘Nessum Dorma’) in which a suitor must solve three riddles in order to woo a princess. Details and tickets here.

THEATRE: Ballad Of The Burning Star, Battersea Arts Centre, 17 Feb – 8 Mar (pictured)
This inflammatory cabaret on the battle-scarred situation in Palestine was rated “phenomenal” at 2013’s Edinburgh Fringe. In Theatre Ad Infinitum’s hands, the story at its heart, that of an Israeli boy caught in the midst of the conflict, is told provocatively, as part of a show starring an angry troop of military showgirls from Israel. Details and tickets here.
