FILM: Bechdel Test Fest | various venues | 23-26 Mar
This ongoing year-long celebration of films that pass the Bechdel Test – two named female characters must have a conversation about something other than a man, something surprisingly few films manage – this week sees four events take place around London. Screenings of ‘Appropriate Behaviour’, ‘Fish Tank’, ‘Tiny Furniture’, and the utterly brilliant ‘Wadjda’ will be accompanied by Q&As, debates and more. Details and tickets here.

MUSIC/COMEDY: Teenage Cancer Trust Shows | Royal Albert Hall | 23-29 Mar
Marking the fifteenth anniversary of the Teenage Cancer Trust’s first fundraising show at the Royal Albert Hall, there’s a hefty programme of music across this now week-long event. Musical headliners are Stereophonics, Van Morrison, The Who, Paul Weller, Noel Gallagher, and Frank Turner. Tomorrow night there’ll be a break from the music with a comedy bill headlined by Kevin Bridges. Details and tickets here.
