The Talented Mr Ripley

And the LDN-based events the ThisWeek team is tipping today are….

COMEDY/KIDS: John Hegley – I Am A Poetato | Bloomsbury Theatre | 17 May
Sprightly kids’ laureate John Hegley reads from his new book of creature-themed verse, ‘I Am A Poetato’, and shows off some of his animal drawings. The other bits of the show will feature Hegley’s Keats House Residency (when he sword-fenced with celery), a recital of his whimsical short story ‘Stanley’s Stick’, and some singing, and also hopping. Details and tickets here.

COMEDY: Daniel Kitson And Some Colleagues | Leicester Square Theatre | 17 May
One-o-a-kind comic oddball Daniel Kitson captains some of his colleagues, like Tony Law and Simon Munnery, in this live drive dedicated (in the financial sense) to the Neuro Foundation, who aim to improve the lives of those affected by neurofibromatosis. Details and tickets here.

FILM: Kaleidoscope Cinema presents… The Talented Mr Ripley | Blue Tit Clapton | 17 May
Kaleidescope Cinema bring a bit of the Old Country to this pop-up picturehouse at boutique coiffurier Blue Tit, showing the Italy based ‘Talented Mr Ripley’ as the night’s main course, and dishing out Neapolitan eats (care of Bottega Prelibato) and Jude Law-abiding drinks and cocktails. Details and tickets here.
