The Dream

And the LDN-based events the ThisWeek team is tipping today are….

COMEDY: The Saturday Night Show w/ Celia Pacquola + James Acaster + Pippa Evans | The Invisible Dot | 31 May
Eye-catching trend-setters The Invisible Dot’s on-site Saturday night showcase tonight features sparky Storytellers Club star Celia Pacquola, floppy-haired comic James Acaster, and award-winning Showstoppers lady Pippa Evans. Details and tickets here.

DANCE: The Dream / Connectome / The Concert | Royal Opera House | 31 May – 13 Jun (pictured)
This whimsical mixed bill of works from the Royal Ballet comprises the world premiere of Alastair Marriott’s classically-inspired ‘Connectome’; ‘The Dream’, Frederick Ashton’s spin on the well-liked Shakespearean fantasy; and Jerome Robbins’ super-lite comic piece ‘The Concert’, which is set to a sprightly score by Chopin. Details and tickets here.

THEATRE: Hotel | National Theatre (Temporary Theatre) | 31 May – 2 Aug
Hotshot young playwright Polly Stenham follows her widely-acclaimed ‘That Face’ and ‘Tusk Tusk’ with this tropical new thriller in which nothing is quite what it seems, and integrity comes at a price. ‘Hotel’ follows a family vacationing on a beautiful sandy island, unaware of an approaching storm. Details and tickets here.
