Shangri-La | Finborough Theatre | 12 Jul-6 Aug
Amy Ng’s first full length play is about a young woman living in the Himalayan foothills whose family’s livelihood has been destroyed by mass tourism, and dreams of escape. Using her personal experiences, the playwright asks what happens when the only thing you have to sell is your culture, and when the only way to free yourself is to betray your roots.
