Three To See on 21 May: Bec Hill – Out Of Order, Tiff Stevenson – Bombshell, Brett Domino’s House Party
By TW Editorial | Published on Monday 14 May 2018
And today’s ThisWeek-tipped, LDN-based events are…
Bec Hill – Out Of Order | Soho Theatre | 21-23 May
Thought we’d spend Monday at Soho Theatre again (yes, it’s becoming a fairly frequent occurence), so let’s start with the excellent and TW-Editors’ Award-winning Bec Hill, because why not. Here are some things our reviewers have said about her and her work over the last few years: “instantly likeable”, “wonderfully inventive”, “absolutely fabulous”, “a great little gem of a show”, “infectious enthusiasm”, “beautifully poignant”. Click here.
Tiff Stevenson – Bombshell | Soho Theatre | 21-26 May (pictured)
“Some say she oscillates wildly between Sylvia Plath and Beyonce, like Belva Lockwood fused with your drunken aunt. Tiff says she’s very funny and a right old smarty-pants. She also says she’s very, very, very modest.” You’ve probably seen her on the telly, or in a live set, and if you have, you’ll know how good she is. Head this way for details.
Brett Domino’s House Party | Soho Theatre | 21+28 May
YouTube stars Brett Domino and Steven Peavis – aka Rob J. Madin and Ste Anderson – are our final Soho show of the day. “Drawing inspiration from the golden era of Saturday night television, the socially-inept duo have taken it upon themselves to host their very own ‘House Party’-style live entertainment show. Expect unique musical performances, competitions, special guests and all-new big-screen videos – plus some surprises as well.” Hurrah, more here.
