“I had a night in which everything was revealed to me. How can I speak again? The early hours of the morning. You’re alone, with only your thoughts. How did you get here? And how do you get out?” Sarah Kane’s highly regarded play about mental health, staged by acclaimed and award winning theatre group Deafinitely Theatre with their usual bilingual MO – the show is performed in British Sign Language and English. See this page here for info.

Adam | Battersea Arts Centre | 18-29 Sep
This has already won lots of acclaim when performed up north. It’s an exploration of the experiences of a young trans man and the story of his journey from Egypt to Scotland, and is performed by Adam Kashmiry, the real person on which the story is actually based. The Other Place | Park Theatre | 19 Sep-20 Oct (pictured)
“Confident, intelligent and highly successful neurologist Juliana Smithton is at the top of her game. But while delivering a lecture to a roomful of doctors, she’s interrupted by a series of disturbing events… With her husband filing for divorce and her health in the balance, Juliana’s life suddenly starts unravelling. As details emerge of a ten-year old mystery, fact blurs with fiction, the past collides with the present, secrets are spilled and slowly the elusive and shocking truth is revealed.” Well, that sounds intriguing, doesn’t it?
