And today’s ThisWeek-tipped, LDN-based events are…

Comedy Club 4 Kids | Udderbelly Festival | 3, 9, 16 Jul
I think it’s time you took the whole family to Comedy Club 4 Kids again. What do you meeeeaaaaan you haven’t been before? Why not? How many times do I have to tell you this? These shows are gold. Go on, get your child accustomed to the art form that is stand-up courtesy of super and seasoned MC Tiernan Douieb, the fabulous Stu Goldsmith and the always lovely Jim Smallman. Super Awesome Comedy Learning Time | Camden Comedy Club | 3 Jul
This is our latest recommendation from the file marked ‘Edinburgh Festival Previews’, and I have chosen this one because it features two acts who’ve charmed the TW review team in the past: award winning Canadian John Hastings, and the up-and-coming Jack Barry, who you may have encountered in his context as one half of comedy duo Twins. Go ye here for all the details.

Gobsmacked! | Udderbelly Festival | 16 Jun-17 Jul (pictured)
Okay, back over to Udderbelly (hard not to, so much good stuff) for some A1 quality a cappella from the producers that brought you The Magnets and Soweto Gospel Choir. It’s described as “next generation”, and promises us an “all-singing, all-amazing theatrical experience that will redefine the limits of the human voice”, so expect beatboxing and  cutting edge multi-track live looping and what have you, as well as top class singing. Here’s the link you need.
